The Revell Classics Line is a limited re-issue of select model kits from the 1950s/60s or 70s. In order to ensure that this model kit resembles the original product as closely as possible, the packaging was made true-to-style using the previous original illustration as well as original decals. The construction manual in multiple languages contains detailed assembly instructions. This model kit was produced using the original mold that was manufactured more than 30 or 40 years ago. Insignificant deviations from the original model kit (formation of burrs or slightly imperfect fit) can be attributed to the fact that the mold was not used for a long period of time.

On 6th February 1954, this racy sports coupé was launched as the little brother of the 300 SL at the Motor Sports Show in New York where it took on the rest of the sports car world. The 190 SL was a sporty and comfortable all-rounder, suitable for gentle competitions. The engine, a 1.9 litre, 4-cylinders-in-line engine with a capacity of 105 bhp (78 kW), was also appropriate to the grand touring class. It had a top speed of 170 km/h, which was sensational at that time. The elegant Cabriolet won many female hearts. From 1955 to 1963 a total of 25,881 of the type 190 SL rolled of the lines.

The new super sports car from Maranello, with a maximum speed of 310 km/h, celebrated its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008. However its name, as well as the air intakes on the bonnet and sides, recall its predecessor, the Ferrari 250 GT California. Pininfarina developed the aerodynamic design of this 2+2, the 8-cylinder engine of which, unlike previous types, is not mid-mounted, but is under the front bonnet. This front position provides more room in the interior and space for the convertible hard top in the rear, which at the press of a button disappears within 15 seconds. This model kit features a fixed, raised roof.

The new 2 + 2 seater from Ferrari was shown to the public for the first time anywhere in the world at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2004. The name of this de luxe sports coupé with an unusually roomy interior pays tribute to Sergio Scaglietti who built Ferrari bodies for many years. As usual the design is by Pininfarina. It recalls the shape and in particular the side recesses and large front grille of the Ferrari 375 Mille Miglia that Roberto Rossellini ordered from his father for Ingrid Bergmann back in 1954. In 1975 Ferrari launched on the market the 308 GTB, a successful mid-engined range that was followed in 1985 by the 328. Ferrari continued the series with the 348 tb and ts that came out in 1989. The 348 (34 stands for the 3.4 litre engine, 8 for the number of cylinders) came out at the same time as the tb (coupé) and ts (Targa) variants, an unusual procedure for Ferrari, but one that was justified by its success. The longitudinal V8 engine developed 300 bhp at 7,200 rpm and reached a top speed of 275 km/h.

The 250 GTO, that is still regarded as one of the finest of all Ferraris, was designed with the primary aim of suitability for private use, but at the same time for winning races in the three-litre class. The Gran Turismo body shape was aerodynamically optimised and resulted in a perfect combination of suitability for purpose and beauty. The front of the 250 GTO was particularly attractive due to the three cooling vents for the 2953 cc engine. The 250 stood for the capacity of one of the 12 engine cylinders, the O for omologato (= type approved), the FIA approval for races in the GT class. The GTO was shown for the first time in 1962. Thanks to its 300 hp engine and good aerodynamics it achieved a speed of about 280 km/h with acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 5.6 seconds.
